FAQs

  • What are you doing to protect your clients from COVID-19?

    • We have completed the Pet Industry Federation course in COVID-19: Disease Control for Pet Professionals. For further information on our controls please contact us direct.

  • Where do you walk the dogs?

    • Kate walks in many places and trys to keep it varied. Some of her favourite places to walk are: Westward Ho! beach, Instow beach, Griggs Field & Woods. Kate will also walk in other locations depending on your location - if you ever want to know where she is taking your dog just ask!

    • After each walk she will send you a picture update (using Whatsapp) of our adventure!

  • What would happen if your dog was injured while in my care?

    • On your consultation you will have completed up-to-date vet details and pet health forms within your initial consultation. In an emergency we will take your dog to your vet (if possible) and contact you immediately. Kate and Chris are Basic Dog First Aid trained and carry a first aid kit in the van. There is one within our grooming room.

  • I often have to work at short notice, can you be flexible?

    • Yes! Try and give as much notice as possible and Kate will try her best to accommodate your request.

  • What vehicle do you use to transport the dogs?

    • Kate has a modern Ford Transit Connect, LWB so plenty of room. It is also fully air conditioned. There are 2 large dog crates in which dogs are transported. If your dog is not happy in a crate there are 2 dog restraints in the back of the van where your dog can sit happily just behind the front seats.

  • Will I have to sign a contract?

    • During your free consultation you will be left with a pack within which will be a service agreement for our terms of service which does require signing.

  • How long does the average dog take to groom?

    • The average groom is 1 1/2 hours.

  • Do I have to stay with my dog whilst he/she is having its groom?

    • There is no requirement to stay. Its usually less stressful for your dog if you do not stay and watch. We will contact you once your dog is ready to collect.

  • What information/history will Chris & Kate need to know about my dog when grooming?

    • A client information card must be filled in before the groom starts to establish the health and temperament of your dog and the owners requirements. A full discussion will be held between Chris and yourself  before you leave.

  • Are you insured and DBS checked?

    • Yes! We are insured under Protectivity which includes public liability cover. A copy of our insurance certificate can be available to view on request. We also hold DBS certificates that can also be seen on request.
